Our Process
At Saara Rugs, the art of weaving handmade rugs is a meticulous and intricate process. We prioritize sourcing the highest quality sustainable materials, including BCI cotton, RWS-certified wool, recycled polyester, jute, and bamboo silk. Our talented design team draws inspiration from various art forms, creating unique designs that reflect creativity and craftsmanship.
Once the design is finalized, we carefully select a color palette and dye the yarn using natural or synthetic dyes. The weaving process follows, utilizing techniques such as hand-knotting, hand-tufting, or flat weaving. After weaving, each rug is washed to enhance its natural sheen. Finally, our finishing process includes stretching, edge binding, and high-low carving to ensure every rug meets our standards of quality and elegance.
